I was inspired to create these medium relief lapel pins when I picked up and held my dear Lizzie. She snuggled against my shoulder and then arched her neck and looked at me -- at eye level. “Love on My Shoulder, Design Two” is a reminder of the joy you share with your favorite variety of dachshund. A prominent breeder of wirehaired dachshunds requested “Love on My Shoulder, Design Two-Wire,” as a lapel pin. This is an adornment that discerning dressers discover also looks great on a hat! I created these pins in sterling silver, which has a brilliant shine when new -- as untainted as a newborn baby. You can keep yours that way through regular polishing. Or you can let nature give your pin a rich patina, especially in the recessed areas. I can’t wait to see mine after a year or so, when I really begin to love my sterling jewelry. The effect, which cannot be produced as beautifully with chemicals, adds definition to the sculptural qualities and enhances the three-dimensionality of the piece. Remember that sterling silver, like all silver, is subject to scratches and may dent if dropped on a hard surface. When handled with love, the pin will grow more beautiful with age and provide years of enjoyment. This pin is an extension of the miniature fine art I create. Each is created in the 1:6 scale recommended by miniature societies through out the world. Each is crafted by hand, one at a time, using the lost wax casting method, a technique that has been used for thousands of years. Each medium-relief lapel pin is signed, numbered and presented with my mark, Wear and enjoy! |

| Jewelry Polish ... KISS - Keep it So Simple |
| The jeweler who casts my work recommends a simple solution to polish your precious metal: baking soda and water! Wet your fingers, dip in baking soda, and gently rub over the piece until the desired sheen has been achieved. It's easy, earth friendly, and economical! Keep it so simple. |
